(La Nouvelle République)-Lomé, Togo, is set to welcome more than 700 participants from governments, the private sector, and international financial institutions for the fourth UK-West and Central Africa Trade and Investment Forum (UK-WCAF IV) on November 12–13, 2025. This is the first time the forum will be held on African soil, underscoring Togo’s strategic role as a bridge between French-speaking Africa and the Commonwealth.
The event brings together delegates from over a dozen African countries, including Benin, Cameroon, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Guinea, Mauritania, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Senegal, alongside UK economic and diplomatic officials. Participants will discuss opportunities in key sectors such as energy, infrastructure, agribusiness, finance, and digital services, while exploring ways to strengthen trade and investment partnerships between Africa and the UK.
West and Central Africa, home to more than 350 million people, represents one of the world’s fastest-growing economic regions. Since the forum’s first edition in 2022, UK-WCAF has mobilized over £1 billion in trade and investment, including major infrastructure projects in Togo and Benin that enhance regional connectivity and economic integration.
The forum will close with the “Awards for Excellence in Francophone Africa,” honoring innovative and sustainable projects that showcase African leadership and entrepreneurship. Hosting UK-WCAF IV in Lomé reinforces Togo’s growing reputation as a dynamic and open regional hub for investment and economic cooperation.
