(La Nouvelle République) – The Belgian-Togolese pastoral couple, Bishop Donald and Prophetess Blessing OR, attended the Veterans Day ceremonies at Mar-a-Lago in early November, by official invitation from the organizers. Their presence was part of a formal program bringing together prominent figures from the American political, security, and institutional spheres. They were invited to provide spiritual support during this national event dedicated to honoring veterans.
During the tribute evening, the leaders of the International Divine Impact Ministry (Belgium) led a solemn prayer, adding a spiritual dimension to the ceremony. They also had the opportunity to engage with several senior U.S. officials, including directors of federal agencies such as ICE, the Secret Service, the U.S. Border Patrol, as well as officials from Foreign Affairs and Legislative Services, and the wife of boxing legend Muhammad Ali.
Their visit was further marked by a rare privilege: the pastoral couple stayed within the private residence of the President of the United States, considered one of the most secure locations in the world. They spent the night and the following day there—a level of access typically reserved for a select circle of high-profile individuals.

For many observers within the diaspora, this invitation—received twice—reflects recognition of the spiritual and humanitarian work carried out by Bishop Donald and Prophetess Blessing OR across multiple continents. It also demonstrates, according to some, “a special grace that opens doors even certain diplomatic channels cannot always reach,” highlighting the pride this international visibility inspires in both Togolese and Belgian communities.
This high-profile presence at Mar-a-Lago could, in the long run, foster new collaborations. Should Togolese authorities seek to engage in spiritual or institutional partnerships with the pastoral couple, “the door would already be open,” say close associates of the ministry. Their participation in the Veterans Day ceremonies, in any case, confirms the transnational scope of their mission and the growing influence of the Togolese diaspora.
